Seahaven FM - Volunteer Staff Required
Seahaven FM is looking for the following part-time volunteer staff. As all posts are part-time there may be more than one post for any given position. So if you can offer the right skills for a few hours each week this could be the opportunity for you to put something really valuable in to the community and enable you to meet the interesting people of Seaford, Newhaven, Peacehaven and Lewes.
Duty Managers
Seahaven FM is broadcasting live programmes from 7am until 11pm seven days a week and we are looking for a number of Duty Managers who have a morning, afternoon or evening to spare to help manage the office and or the station for a few hours per week. Breakfast Show Assistants
We are looking to build a team of co-presenters to assist the breakfast show presenter with the programme. This is an early start at 7am, most of the work will be in the studio but we are also looking for some live weather reports from the seafront each morning. The role will include researching and writing reports to be read on air by the presenter or sometimes reading them yourself. You must be computer literate and a clear speaking voice is important if you want to be on air. Drive Time Assistants
We are looking for research and production assistants for the Drive time show. You will be helping to keep listeners in the area entertained, up to date with local traffic, events and interesting local news. You must be computer literate and a clear speaking voice is important if you want to be on air. Bob Peedle's Forces on Parade and Community People
Two programmes which are broadcast each Sunday, 'Community People' is from 5pm to 6pm and 'Forces on Parade' from 6pm to 7pm. Both are now well established and require an assistant who can help with the programme and to deputise from time to time.
Ideally someone with experience in one of our armed forces would be ideal, a clear voice and is willing to train as one of our volunteer broadcasters. He or she needs also to be confident in the use of computers. If you think this is you CONTACT US NOW!
Administrative
A position with a variety of tasks helping with the day-to-day running of the station, answering the telephone, greeting visitors and occasional help with the production team.
We have a particular need for the following shifts
Early Morning (7am)
Weekday Evenings (from 7pm)
Early Weekends (from 7am)
Most shifts are shared and done on rotation to suit the individuals. There are a number of shifts with more flexible times too. If you think this is you CONTACT US NOW!
