Bob Peedle Bob Peedle
Bob Peedle, who served for 26 years in the Metropolitan Police, started off in the Scouts as a youngster firstly with the cubs and then the Scouts and Senior Scouts ending up as an Assistant Scout Master. Joining the Police put an end to this as he was moved away from home. Later, in the 1970s he was an officer of the St John Ambulance Brigade, commanding a Division at Epping in Essex. There is devised and set up the St John Ambulance Air Wing, a National organisation using private pilots in private aircraft to fly urgent medical supplies and donor organs anywhere in the country. This organisation lasted for some twenty years but folded when the NHS decided to use commercial flights instead, which had become more accessible by then.

He is a member of the Order of St John and a Fellow of The Royal Society of St George being a past Vice Chairman of the Society. He is also a member of the Sussex Branch of the Society.

This wide experience of community work is a great help in presenting this programme which welcomes individuals, organisations and charities working in our Seahaven Community to the studio to talk about their work. The programme therefore consists of 'chat' and 'music'.
